If you’re looking for a clean and non toxic baby bath and body brand, look no further! I am so excited to bring you this Carina Organics review, because I have been so impressed by this company! We go through bubble bath quite quickly in our house…ahem…Mike uses a zillion pumps every bath…lol. So we’ve been testing out some different brands and we’ve both really liked this one. Our little ones skin isn’t left dried out after and neither are my hands. And not to mention they smell great! So let’s dive into this Carina Organics review – talking all things baby and also the couple non-baby items I’ve tried and been enjoying too!

About Carina Organics

I love the brand’s philosophy – using 100% natural products that are even hand harvested in the Pacific Northwest, and hand made in batches in Vancouver, British Columbia. They truly use  tree essences, herbs, plants, fruits, flowers and vegetables for their bath and body products.

In their about page, they state they are free of cortisone, steroids, DEA (diethanolamine), sulfates, salt, propylene glycol, aluminum, synthetic fragrances, and dyes.

Carina Organics Sustainability

They have an entire page dedicated to where they source their ingredients from and sustainability. Not only do they try to source local and organic, but they really put thought into the regrowth of the plants.

Palm Oil they usually source from Brazil, where it doesn’t impact Orangutans because they don’t natively reside there, but if needed they also use RPSO certified Palm oils from Asia. They are even reducing the amounts of Palm oil in favor of Coconut oil which is more sustainable and less controversial than Palm oil.

Their beeswax is sourced from small and local farms that abide by the ecological farming methodologies in the EU standards to make sure they aren’t contributing to the bee crisis. It’s really amazing to see a small brand caring so much about their impact on the farming practices and ingredient sourcing.

Does Carina Organics make Unscented products?

Yes they do!

The Baby & Kids line comes in scented and unscented – I’ve only purchased the scented version which i really love the smell of on my kiddos.

But what is great is they do offer many unscented options, if you’re sensitive to fragrance no worries, they have plenty of options for littles and adults too!

Carina Organics Baby Shampoo and Body Wash Review

Cost: $11.99 / 8oz, $39.99/ 33.8oz, $118.99 / 135oz

Scent: it smells clean and fresh, but in a floral clean baby kind of smell. It’s not like any of the other products I’ve used on my kiddos before! It also comes in unscented!

How does skin feel: this doesn’t dry out my kids skin – some others we’ve tried can be kind of drying on their sensitive baby skin, but this I don’t feel requires lotion right after!

How does it leave hair feeling? Honestly Dempsey has the curliest hair and it detangles and leaves her curls absolutely amazingly bouncy and soft!

Can this be used as bubble bath? No I wouldn’t use this as bubble bath, it doesn’t suds up the way the bubble bath does!

Do they have pump tops? For the 8oz small size, those don’t come with pump tops. For the large size they also have those amazing pump tops you can add on and use, OR you can use those large bottles to refill your small bottles!

Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Capryl Glucoside (corn sugar and fatty capric alcohol from coconut oil), Potassium Cocoate (saponified Cocos nucifera / coconut oil), Glycerin (vegetable), Pinus elliotti (pine) extract, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Magnesium Chloride (Magnesium Oil), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, Acetic Acid (Apple Cider Vinegar), Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, Lathyrus odoratus (sweet pea) flower extract,  Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (guar/cluster bean) gum.

Per their website, this product is: Synthetic Free, Tear Free, Hypoallergenic, Cruelty Free, Vegan, 100% Biodegradable (safe in rivers, lakes and oceans), Paraben Free, Soy Free, Gluten Free, Dye Free

Would I repurchase? Yes! I first bought the tiny 8oz bottle to try, and then upgraded to the large bottle pictured above the 33.8oz. I love the smell, I love that it doesn’t dry out my baby and toddler’s skin. I also love that it doesn’t dry out my own skin. I feel like some brands were drying my hands out too!

Carina Organics Baby Bubble Bath Review

Cost: $11.99 / 8oz, $39.99/ 33.8oz, $118.99 / 135oz

Scent: Just like the shampoo, I got the scented which is the Sweet Pea scent and it’s just very light and nice!

How are the bubbles? They do pretty good! It’s not the bubbly-est bubbles ever but it bubbles up pretty nice for my baby and toddler! We have no complaints from the toddler lol.

How does it leave the skin feeling? Super soft and not drying! Similar to the Shampoo & Body wash.

Do they have pump tops? Same as the Shampoo & Body wash – it’s the same thing and comes in same sizes – the larger 33.8oz comes with the pump top

How much do you use for a bathtub of bubbles? I think we use a few pumps for the full bathtub – I used 2 pumps for my baby in his OXO Tot tub which was perfect.

Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Capryl Glucoside (corn sugar and fatty capric alcohol from coconut oil), Potassium Cocoate (saponified Cocos nucifera (coconut oil), Glycerin (vegetable), Pinus elliotti (pine) extract, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Magnesium Chloride (Magnesium Oil), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, acetic acid (apple cider vinegar), Lathyrus odoratus (sweet pea) flower extract, Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (guar/cluster bean) gum.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely! I had again gotten the 8oz first and we blew through it and upgraded to the larger size. We will definitely go through the bubble bath quicker though!

Carina Organics Leave-in Conditioner Review

Cost: $11.99 / 8oz, $39.99/ 33.8oz, $118.99 / 135oz

How it sprays: a super fine mist which I love

How it feels on wet hair: super light, not heavy at all

Does it detangle? Yes, it does, but if you have bleached hair is might not be enough

Does it leave residue? no residue or gunky feeling, very light on hair

How is it with bleached hair? I sometimes need a little extra in an oil or additional product, but so far this has been doing well and detangling decently for my bleached hair. I love the fine mist but I do spray a decent amount onto my hair. I don’t always brush my hair so I leave in and scrunch my waves.

Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, Cetyl Alcohol (fatty alcohol from Coconut), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, Pinus elliottii (pine) extract, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, Acetic Acid (Apple Cider Vinegar), Magnesium Chloride (Magnesium Oil), Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (guar/cluster bean) gum, Lathyrus odoratus (sweet pea) flower extract.

Per their website this product is: Synthetic Free, Hypoallergenic, Cruelty Free, Vegan, 100% Biodegradable (safe in rivers, lakes and oceans), Paraben Free, Soy Free, Gluten Free, Dye Free

Would I repurchase? To be determined! I think this is a great detangler spray and I’m going to continue using it to see if I see any other benefits over time. I have super long stringy wavy bleached hair so I just usually need a little extra product for some more shine and definition. But as a leave in and detangler it definitely leaves my hair soft and I might repurchase in the future! I can see using this for Dempsey too as her hair gets longer.

Carina Organics Botanical Therapeutic – Tree Essence Shampoo & Body Wash Review

So I actually didn’t intend to try this product, it was shipped to us on accident with our order. Carina Organics has absolutely wonderful customer service, they resent the right item right away and let us keep this one. I refilled some old empty body wash bottles with this bulk large bottle. The scent doesn’t smell like pine or tee tree oil like I thought – it smells so clean and fresh and subtly sweet!

Cost: $26.99 / 16.9oz, $44.99 / 33.8oz, $131.99 / 135oz

Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Capryl Glucoside (corn sugar and fatty capric alcohol from coconut oil), Potassium Cocoate (saponified Cocos nucifera / coconut oil), Pinus elliotti (pine) extract, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Magnesium Chloride (Magnesium Oil), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Medicago sativa (alfalfa) leaf, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Echinacea purpurea (echinacea) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, Acetic Acid (Apple Cider Vinegar), Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (guar/cluster bean) gum, Thuja plicata (red cedar) extract.

  • Synthetic Free, Cortisone and Steroid Free, Hypoallergenic, Cruelty Free, Vegan, 100% Biodegradable (safe in rivers, lakes and oceans), Soy Free, Gluten Free, Dye Free, Paraben Free

How does it feel? It’s a little more runny than the Aleavia body wash that we are are used to so it’s a little bit of a learning curve to not overflow my hand with it and waste a ton of product on the floor of my shower. I don’t use a loofah (heard they harness tons of bacteria once and never went back!). I feel like we are going through this body wash much quicker than our usual one, but again might just be that I need to put less in my hands!

Would I repurchase? Yes I think I would and I would try more of the Botanical and Therapeutic line definitely! I really love the scent actually!

Carina Organics Botanical Therapeutic Tree Essence Shampoo & Body Wash

What other products do I want to try next?

I definitely want to test out their shampoo and conditioner next! I have loved the body wash and I love the baby body wash and shampoo. Dempsey’s super curly hair does really well with their baby shampoo and body wash, so I can imagine the adult version is great too. I also want to try the hair spray, and the hand soap!

What size bottles do their products come in?

It’s great that they offer both smaller size bottles that we’re used to, and larger size you can get a pump top for and gallon sizes for refills! So you can start small, see if you like it, and then order larger – which is what I did!

  • Small size: 250mL / 8oz
  • Medium size: 500mL / 16.9oz (for the Botanical and Therapeutic line)
  • Large size: 1L / 33.8oz – and you can get pump tops!
  • Extra-Large size: 4L / 135oz

Where can I buy Carina Organics?

You can buy on Amazon, I linked a lot of the products earlier! The prices are similar but a little different on Amazon. You can also buy directly from their website below – they have $7.99 flatrate shipping, or free shipping on orders $99+. You can compare the price on Amazon to the shipping and buy wherever makes the most sense!
