You may have seen these little infant loungers before, and wondered if they are worth it. I would not be writing this Snuggle Me Organic review if it wasn’t! I definitely recommend this little lounger as a supervised docking station for your baby! What is the Snuggle Me Organic Infant Lounger? 

If you aren’t familiar, the Snuggle Me Organic is an infant (or toddler) sized lounger that serves as a supervised safe space to put down your baby.  It would be most comparable to the more pricey Doc-A-Tot. Per their website they state the “Snuggle Me is designed for actively engaging, playing, and bonding with your awake little one. The Infant Lounger is not for sleep.”

How big is the Snuggle Me Organic Infant Lounger vs the Toddler Lounger? 

The Infant Lounger measures 29 x 17 x 4.5 inches.

The Toddler Lounger measures 36 x 19.5 x 4 inches.

Is the Snuggle Me Organic Machine Washable? 

They are! I haven’t washed the actual lounger…but I have washed the cover multiple times! It washes well and didn’t shrink up and still fits great! I should have tested out washing the entire lounger for the sake of a proper Snuggle Me Organic review, but alas, I have only washed the cover! 

Per the website here are their washing instructions: Machine wash on a cold gentle cycle with gentle dye free detergents. Do not pour detergent directly on the lounger. Wash by itself, and disable top loaders with agitators. Air dry on a flat surface until damp, then tumble dry on low.

What is the Snuggle Me Organic made of? 

It wouldn’t be Snuggle me organic review without my comments on the materials – I love that it’s organic cotton for what is touching baby – the covers and the outer shell of the lounger.

  • Outer shell material is 100% organic cotton. 
  • The filling is polyester fiber, with zero added chemicals or flame retardants.

What is the age range for using the Snuggle Me Infant Lounger?

Per the website it says 0-9 months. Although my 3 year old loves to lay in it sometimes when watching TV and her whole torso fits just her legs are hanging out! So despite what they say, I think it has use beyond the 9 months! 

Once your baby is 9+ months, or 21+ inches from head to booty, and able to position themselves better, they recommend the Toddler Lounger, which is a bit bigger.

Does it have any certifications? 

I don’t see anything regarding this in their FAQ section so I’m not sure. 

What do I use the Snuggle Me Organic for?

I used this for so many things!

  • I used this as a docking station for bath time – getting ready and snuggling in a towel right after the bath in the towel. 
  • Next to me on the floor as a spot for them to hang next to me
  • Although not recommended, because I had a c-section, I used this next to me on my couch (we have a large wedge that is quite wide) as an easy place to put baby down so they wouldn’t roll, while I worked on getting up off the couch or sitting down onto the couch slowly during the first few weeks when recovery was quite painful. 
  • We also used this on the floor so Dempsey could lay next to baby brother when he was tiny. 
  • Dempsey also uses the lounger on the couch as a pillow or to lay in on the couch or the floor. 
  • I have also used it to prop my elbow up nursing! 
  • My Pomeranian also loves to snuggle in it lol. 

How much does the Snuggle Me Organic cost?

Normally the Snuggle Me Organic Infant Lounger is $109. You can typically find them on sale multiple times throughout the year, and can usually snag a 15% to 30% off sale. Right now it’s 30% off for the holidays, so it’s $76.30 – $81 for the lounger depending on color.

For the Toddler Lounger that is normally $155, but on sale looks like it comes to $116.25. 

Are there any accessories for the Snuggle Me Organic?

Yes! You can get multiple covers for the Infant or Toddler Lounger – they are also made of organic cotton and are super soft and wash well! We have a spitter-upper over here and so far it’s been good. My friend recommended getting the cover because her lounger did get some stains from spit up and other things over the course of using it with her son.

How much do the covers cost?

Infant lounger covers cost usually $52, but on sale they are $31-39 depending on the color. 

Toddler lounger covers usually cost $69, but on sale they are $48.30 right now.

Is the Snuggle Me Organic Safe? 

When used properly, yes! I don’t think there have been any safety issues reported. 

There is a lot of information on safety on their website. 

  • They are very clear that this lounger is NOT FOR SLEEPING. It is for active play and engagement and bonding with your baby. 
  • The lounger should never be put in a crib, bassinet or on a bed. 
  • Don’t put the Snuggle Me lounger on high or elevated and uneven surfaces. 
  • Never leave your baby unsupervised in the Snuggle Me lounger or use as a sleep device. 
  • Use on firm, flat surfaces only, and always transition your baby to a safe sleeping location (like the crib or bassinet) if they are asleep. 

Would I recommend the Snuggle Me Organic Infant Lounger?

Yes! I wish I had had this with my first baby. That’s why I wanted to do a Snuggle Me Organic review! It’s such an easy and secure space to have your baby next to you and not always be holding them. It’s a fabulous docking station when getting ready for baby bath time in those early days too.

Having a space where baby could lay and not roll next to me on the couch (although couch is not recommended) was a god send in those early days of my c-section recovery – it was just so painful to get up and down, it made it a lot easier to have this next to me. I have let my baby lightly snooze next to me while on the couch or on the floor, completely supervised, but this is not recommended and I’m absolutely not recommending it, but just being honest.

Final Thoughts 

I definitely wish I had this with my first baby. This is the Snuggle Me Organic review I never knew I needed at the time! I had a Boppy Lounger which I think recently got recalled. I just felt like my daughter would easily roll off of it and it wasn’t really a secure docking station for my baby. The Snuggle Me Organic really is a perfect little lounger. It makes your baby feel hugged and secure and they really can’t roll out of it. I stil use it 6 months in before bath time and on the couch and floor mostly for awake time now. When my baby was more newborn I could get more supervised naps in there while sitting next to me (although they do not recommend this!!). Especially with my c-section it was nice to have a safe space right next to me to place him and give my incision a break.  I love that it’s all made from organic cotton and sustainable material and safe filling and love the color selection of the covers.
