Best Vegan Leather Diaper Bag!
One of the things I was most excited about when I was having my daughter was to seek out the cutest most functional diaper bag I could find. I originally wanted something in saddle leather and had my eyes on this one brand for years, but they were real leather and really pricey and reviews also said HEAVY. I ultimately started searching for the best vegan leather diaper bag and stumbled across Elkie & Co through instagram and never looked back! My aunt gifted this to me when it came back in stock after Dempsey was born and I just love it so much I wanted to share the details with you all! The bag i’m specifically reviewing here is the Elkie & Co Aberdeen Vegan Leather Diaper Bag in Saddle with the cheetah interior liner.

Elkie & Co Diaper Bag Materials – A Vegan Leather Diaper Bag that truly stands the test of time!
The original Elkie & Co diaper bag is made of leather alternative. Let me tell you this microfiber based vegan leather diaper bag has HELD UP. This bag looks scratch-free 2 years later despite being thrown in the car or shoved into the bottom of a stroller numerous times. The inner liner is…wait for it…REMOVABLE! You can literally clean out crumbs or spills and machine wash! I would say it truly is the best vegan leather diaper bag out there!
Elkie & Co Aberdeen Functionality
I knew I wanted something that my husband and I could wear as a backpack but also love to be able to just thrown over my shoulder as a tote too- this checks those boxes. The Aberdeen comes with generously sized tote straps and a long bag strap that converts the diaper bag to a cross body or most importantly, a backpack!
Elkie & Co Removable and Interchangeable Liner
There are a few different choices of liners now which is amazing! From simple cream stripe to cheetah to florals. They have 6 stretch pockets and a zipper pocket. I have to squish the larger Dyper brand diapers in there but I can fit everything I need and more in them. Elkie & Co Aberdeen Exterior – The Vegan Leather Diaper Bag that looks brand new after 2+ years!
The two outer pockets fit any baby bottle and my 20oz Owala bottle perfectly – anything larger than the 20-24oz range might not fit. It would be awesome if they were expandable pockets! The front two pockets are magnetic closure and easy to get in and out of. I usually stash lip glosses and my phone and keys (which have a cute little clip to keep them accessible too). There is also a generous back pocket to tuck in backpack straps if you unclip, an iPad, a changing pad, headbands, nail polish to hide from your toddler – it fits a lot!

Let’s talk about the wear and tear:
1) The hardware is gold and I’m obsessed with all gold hardware
2) it hasn’t tarnished or chipped AT ALL
3) The vegan leather hasn’t scratched at all either and I’ve gotten some spills on it and it cleans off so easily – I’m more than impressed
It looks to me like it’s still brand new even though I’ve been using it consistently for 2+ years! The interior is also spotless I’ve been lucky to not have melted snacks or drink spills (I put most snacks in a zip pouch!)

The Aberdeen diaper bag comes with your choice of liner pattern, the extra long strap to convert to backpack or cross body bag, and the best part: mom purse. The mom purse fits perfectly inside the Aberdeen Diaper Bag and comes with its own cross body strap, as well as its own clips to keep inside the larger bag. This purse fits wipes and diapers but also large wallets perfectly along with your phone keys and quick trip essentials. I live for this bag. It’s absolutely amazing and again has held up so well despite even more use than the full size bag. It also has a zipper pocket inside too!

There are a variety of accessories available now!
- Stroller straps (I have them but didn’t end up using much since the Mockingbird stroller basket is large enough to tuck the entire diaper bag in!)
- Changing Pad (it is GORGEOUS my friend has it, I plan to buy one they are way bigger than they seem and the same amazing material as the bag – so thin and easy to clean!)
- Tassel keychain charms (I have these and they are adorable!)
- Packing Cases (These are new, and I want them!!! They have an adorable cross body bag similar to the mama purse in the Aberdeen along with a couple other cute size pouches – I definitely plan to buy these for when baby boy arrives)
- Wallet (I don’t have one because I already have a larger wallet but they do seem perfect and they can color coordinate easily with your bag!)
- Bag Strap (Aberdeen comes with one so I haven’t purchased another!)
